Amazing place . The first thing i want to talk about is the professionality of the manager . He was answering me about all my questions ( Thanks Youssef) . The food was really delicious ( if you want to eat a really delicious food the best place is the hotel)Near from all the touristic monuments ( 15 min Majorelle garden - 15-20 min the jamaa el fna ...) I'll give 10/10 for the cleanliness Thanks a lot for your hospitality 10/10
If you want an authentic experience this riad is perfect. It's located in the buzz of the alleys, it has many of the traditional riad features and is close to the main square about 20 minute walk. The room itself was comfortable and clean, however cold at night and the bathroom very small and basic. We were given blankets which helped.Fayssal, the riad manager, was very welcoming and gave us some good tips and advice. He is by far the best asset of the Riad. However, we cant not mention the dining setup is far from ideal. There are 8 rooms, but just 4 tables under cover ( it was too cold to eat outside)So this meant if you didn't get there early enough, you didn't get to eat until a table had finished their 3 courses, which could be as late as 10.30pm. This was no fault of the staff, but something that really affected us as guests in a big way, as it didn't feel safe to go out at night around the riad and we had paid for food included. Food wise there was no choice, just one main course which was delicious, but a choice would be nice depending on what you want that day. Also, I was pregnant and couldn't eat everything served.Fayssel is also the only English speaking person who works at the riad, so we struggled to communicate with the ladies in the kitchen.Fayssel worked many long hours, and there needed to be someone else too that spoke English on hand to help as the poor man needed to sleep at some point despite always being so helpful.Overall, we did feel disappointed, especially with the dining situation, which brought our score down.If you are happy to wait for a table, you are in no rush and are happy to just try a new local dish every night. Then this may be the riad for you. Also breakfast timings were from 7.30 but expect to be served at more 8.30-9.But huge thankyou to Fayssel for doing all you could to improve our experience.
Great location close to Bab Moussoufa, and within 10min walking distance from Jemaa el-Fna square. Fantastic hospitality and care from Fayssal and all the staff. Fayssal shared lots of helpful suggestions for places to visit and eat nearby, which we really appreciated. Great experience overall!
My daughter and I stayed here for a week. The breakfasts and nightly tagines on the roof terrace were great. The hotel is in a lively and always busy area with plenty of character. There are lots of very interesting market stalls just around the corner. It is a 15-20 minute walk through the medina to the main square (Jemaa el-Fna). The manager Fayssal was very helpful and friendly. He organised excursions, airport transfers and everything else we asked for. We would both happily stay here again.Superb.
I visited this Riad for 4 days this February with a friend and we had an absolutely lovely time. From the moment we arrived Faysal made us feel very welcome and comfortable with complementary mint tea and sweet treats and lots of advice about exploring Marrakech. He downloaded us an app that enabled us to use a map without internet which was extremely helpful while walking around the souks - we would have been lost without it. Throughout the whole of our stay he was an extremely attentive host and we always had a laugh and chat together. The room itself was very well equipped with nice thick blankets as it gets cold at night in winter. The free WiFi was good and the breakfast was superb. The location is very close to the centre of Marrakech and ideal for exploring the souks and gardens. Could not recommend highly enough!
Everything was fine and more than fine I enjoyed a nice time with the team of this riad The breakfast was good and every day changedThe bed was comfortableThanks for the hospitalityThanks for all the team Hope you the best continuation See you soon
This Riad is very homely and we felt this more so because of the lovely staff. Faisal was always really helpful and it was nice getting to know him. The room felt traditional and was always cleaned very well. Breakfast was great- especially the fresh orange juice and pancakes.
Stayed at the Riad, family room, good service throughout, Faisal looked after us throughout the stay, he was always there, right from breakfast to letting us in late at night, breakfast was amazing, fresh orange juice was amazing. Met the owner a couple of times was freindly as well. Walking distant to the Market and lots of good eating places around.
elegant. Each themed distinctly. Lovely modern paintings of Moroccan themes. Rooftop dining with mosque in background— pretty awesome. breakfast different every morning. Good location for big square— easy landmarks to get there & find way back
Very good and tasty breakfast.A little bit too sweet for us, but this is the Moroccan type.Very clean room: everyday cleaning and changing the towels.Hot water, but not in every room has enough pressure.Good Wi-Fi internet speed, but needed a few resets for reconnecting.Sobha, the owner, is very helpful if you know what to ask.In the Riad, everything was great. Many thanks to Fayssal, a very helpful and nice receptionist, without whom nothing could be as well. The owner could give more details about the trips, especially for the Zagora desert (they call it "Litlle Sahara"): 2 days/1 night. It's not a real desert, is a field near Anti-Atlas mountains, with a few dunes of yellow sand, not red one, brought by truck, maybe. There is no heater in the tents, could be very cold for some people.I thought it would be a gas heater in every tent.If you want real desert, with dunes, sunsets and red sand, you should take 3 days/2 nights trip to Merzouga.Don't miss Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, Essaouira, Ouzoud Falls...
The hotel is in a short quiet side street. As soon as you get to the main street, its noisy and busy and a great pace to be - walk through non-touristy areas for the most part, then convenient turnings to take you to different sections of the city. Hotel staff great; room - or tent great - ask to stay in Touareg - it was just such fun! and the hotel manager gave us a plate each at the end of our 3 day stay - not sure why but it was lovely of her
+ clean+ breakfast+ wifi worked well+ location+ extra blankets+ could leave the luggage after check out+ sockets next to bed - delayed breakfast (it was after a new years party, to be fair)- small bathroom- didn’t get the room key (but they are available)- don’t accept euro coins (which we can understand) so we overoaid and agreed to get the difference back in MAD however, staff didn’t have MAD available at the time; we decided to leave the difference as a tip anyway but were a bit put off as they didn’t make an attempt to return the difference later as agreed
Really good Riad!! Staff and Soba the owner are extremelly considerate and helpful. Breakfast included and warm beds .Room well decorated, and its a pleasure to enjoy the peace inside after craZy Marraketch. Its centric (15-20 min walking to Fna Square) and well priced. Despite the first impression of the neighborhood, the truth is that local people are kind and local food is delicious...
We stayed in Dar Salam in December. It was lovely, the host was great too. We really enjoyed the breakfast- coffee, tea, juice, pancakes, eggs and bread! It might be a bit hard to find it if you arrive on a bus, simply because 80% of the streets do not have names on it, so maps are basically useless in Marrakech. :) all in all, we enjoyed our stay, walking distance to the centre of town, right next to the wall, so if you feel like escaping Medina for a bit and grabbing some modern food or simply shopping in a regular supermarket you only need to walk for 5minutes. Definitely recommend!
The owners are very wonderful hosts - taking personal care of the guests - including arranging for tours and even packing you breakfast for your intended camel ride... Good rooms although no tv but with strong wifi. Check out the breakfast area at the roofdeck with a view of the Atlas Mountains.. Pleasant tea... And even wonderful dessert as a gift and of course the Tajine gift.....
We stayed here on our first two days in Marrakech. We got a bit lost on our way to the hotel (taxi driver took us to the wrong place!) and the owner at the Riad was so helpful - she spoke to a taxi driver to get us to the right place. She cannot do enough to help and is so friendly and kind - made this a real haven in Marrakech. The Riad itself is beautiful - covered in colourful tiles and the rooms are cosy. Such a wonderful place to stay if you want a proper Moroccan experience, you will be treated like one of the family.
I was there with my mum and my little brother, the manager was a lady and she was just amazing and very helpful with everything. Mum loved it as she got to have her mint tea everyday, The rooms were decent size and the view from the hotel was good. The breakfast always was on point and as a whole was a good experience. It was good value for money too. 15 mins walk to the center and there was a mosque very close by for prayers.
